Setting New Standards, Innovating an Industry

Keldin Engineering is a progressive company making strides in the Mechanical and Electrical Engineering sector. We specialise in delivering superior services within the logistic centre, commercial and industrial sectors in the UK, Ireland and Europe. These include Design and Build projects as well as Quality Control Services for the data centre industry, Thermal Imaging, Power Quality Management, Commissioning and QA/QC services. Over the years our innovative approach and high-quality professional services have disrupted and reset our industry – setting new standards in sustainable solutions, added value and operational excellence.

Our Story

Keldin was formed in 2020 by Ciarán Kelly with the purpose and vision of offering continuous affordable improvement to the Mechanical and Electrical Installation services provided within the industry.
Before Keldin, Ciarán trained as an Electrician, going on to further his academic qualifications with a Master’s in Project Management from the University of Limerick. Joining a top-level multinational electrical firm, he gained experience in project delivery – and quickly saw there was a real need to improve and advance electrical Installation processes – not just within top firms, but across the entire industry.

Our Vision and Values

Keldin Engineering is committed to setting new benchmarks in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering. We are dedicated to continuous improvement within the services we offer, for the benefit of our clients and the industry in which we work.

In order to lead the way in project management in the Electrical industry, our commitment is driven by our Values and Principles:

  • Integrity – we do as we say and say as we do, and strong moral principles form the foundation of our service and client relationships.
  • Professionalism – through quality, reliability and unparalleled workmanship.
  • Client-Led – we place our clients front and centre, always.

Our Team Dynamic

Ours is a dynamic outfit and the transparent way in which we run the company sets us apart and drives our performance. We have an open-door policy throughout the business; all opinions count, and we especially enjoy engaging with our apprentices who are the next generation of changemakers. Our apprentices and graduate Engineers are hugely important within the business as they will be the company leaders of the future, with an ever-sharper, faster thought process. We take the time to get their feedback on what they use to communicate and learn about their interests and passions. We encourage and invite new suggestions – all the time exploring all options, no matter how left-field they may be. We firmly believe there is no such thing as a poor suggestion.

Our Client-Centric Focus

We strive to offer clients premium Mechanical and Electrical Installation services that transform their vision of their projects into working reality – and it’s the way we collaborate with our clients that makes this possible. We engage with them from the get-go – discussing and agreeing the success factors in each project. No matter the complexity of a project, whether it is a design and build or a conventional specified designed job – we partner, collaborate, engage and provide the same level of superior service. Why? Because we’re passionate about developing buildings and facilities of which we can all be proud, and because every project is an opportunity to further entrench our ethic of ‘Trusted Operational Excellence.’

We take a unique approach to our Installation process which is always included as added value rather than with an additional cost. Throughout the project and to ensure our clients have complete access to a library of installed drawings, product details or Commissioning documentations, we provide a QR code on all major pieces of equipment. They can then access the information they need at any time. This is also a sustainable and preferable way of presenting O&M manuals.

Our Responsibility to Efficiency

The ever-changing energy market has a massive influence on how we design, install and commission electrical systems in today’s market. As Mechanical and Electrical Engineers, we believe the more information available to designers, installers, and end users – the greater our ability to improve how our buildings perform. We take the responsibility we carry seriously: when our clients have a corporate or moral obligation to ensure that Mechanical and Electrical systems are installed and perform efficiently from day one – we understand our role. We know it is up to us to guide each client correctly – fulfilling their vision without adverse effect on the quality and budget.

Accreditation and Compliancy

We hold LEED Platinum Accreditation and our sustainable building solutions are delivered in line with LEED Platinum requirements. More recently we have received BREEAM® Outstanding Logistics Buildings certification. At the same time, we have made sure our regulatory NZEB and BCAR requirements are carefully fulfilled.

Working to sustainability briefs, we ensure the building will perform exactly as the specification outlines. To deliver energy-efficient Mechanical and Engineering systems, we ensure that BMS systems monitor and trend energy consumption. At the same time, we make use of LED Lighting throughout – with a focus on Dali daylight harvesting (where a natural ingress of lighting occurs, or the minimum of PIR motion detectors are installed in lieu of traditional light switching).
